Veterinarian - Issaquah, WA
Meadows Cat Hospital
About the Role
Meadows Cat Hospital in Issaquah, WA is a busy four-veterinarian practice looking to add a fifth doctor. Working together to establish and uphold the highest standards of patient care, we believe that to care for our patients, we must also care for each other. We strive to cultivate a supportive, fun environment that encourages camaraderie and opportunities to learn and grow. In addition to practicing excellent medicine with exceptional people, Meadows offers consistent scheduling, excellent work-life balance, and incredible benefits.
We have a ton of bells and whistles and fancy gadgets, including ultrasound, high resolution digital radiographs (we use industry-leading cutting-edge DR-based technology - our chief veterinarian has over 13 years of radiology experience including taking and interpreting feline x-rays), and top-of-the-line monitoring equipment…but everyone has those things these days. Here’s what really makes us stand out:
- Our highly-trained feline veterinarians offer comprehensive cat urgent care and veterinary emergency services. We welcome drop-offs and can often "work in" most feline emergencies or urgent care cases. Our hospital is steeped in 60+ total years of internal medicine, dental, and surgical focus
- Meadows’ clinic, hospital, and boarding facilities offer safe feline grooming and nail trim services, with sedation if needed by a veterinarian
- Although we still "put in the hours", we find it's much more fulfilling to spend 45 minutes + on a cat and getting to know their circumstances, medical history and formulating a plan than 15 or 20 or 30 minutes per appointment. We have a low volume/high quality medicine approach.
- We are unique to have a clientele that doesn't generally say no and will generally say yes when given the facts and justification. Our compliant clients are incredible.
- Real mentorship from a team who believes in a “better together” philosophy because we know we are at our best when we work as a cohesive team
- We also have an experienced team who knows the system and can help support the doctors, allowing them the time they need to focus on their patients instead of other tasks!
Our team members should also be ready to:
- Let your passion for pets and veterinary care shine every day.
- Enjoy yourself. If you're not having fun, you're doing it wrong.
- Occasionally partake in a cat rodeo.
- Grow as a professional and encourage the growth of others.
- Be empathetic to our clients, coworkers, and yourself.
- Be willing to be part of a workplace where genuinely appreciating each other is more than some motivational poster on the wall.
- Listen to our clients as they explain why their cat is the best one that has ever lived.
